Camp Day Highlights

On Thursday, July 23, we hosted our second Camp Day! At Applewood, Camp Day is an indoor celebration of community, the outdoors, and everything fun under the sun.

We kicked off the festivities by indulging in warm, homemade s’mores. Once everyone was full and satisfied, we embarked on a journey to our ‘campground,’ thoughtfully set up in our sensory room. Staff transformed the space with tents, cozy blankets, a glowing faux campfire, and stars to create the full camping effect.

Our first activity was campfire storytelling, where staff and participants took turns building a story together prompt by prompt. Afterward, we gathered around the fire for a sing-along accompanied by live guitar. What started as everyone singing along naturally turned into dancing—the perfect warm-up for our next big event!

Our very own DJ Alex Flo hosted a high-energy dance party to keep the fun going. Participants and staff had a blast dancing, laughing, and creating memories together. The energy in the room was truly unbeatable, and everyone left with glowing smiles. As the day came to a close, we wrapped up Camp Day, knowing these special moments will last a lifetime.
