Applewood Centre for Adult Learning is a unique, not for profit charity in Mississauga which provides learning opportunities and personal support arrangements for adults with special needs. We are located at 2180 Harvest Drive (Dixie & Queensway) within Applewood Acres School.
ACAL was created and established by parents who share the belief that special needs students must have opportunities for personal growth and development through continuing education following their graduation from the school system.
ACAL is an adult day program. We offer a wide range of learning activities designed to meet individual special needs. We develop personal support plans and consider the priorities and the circumstances of each of our families. We are committed to approaching all program planning, personal support arrangements and participation schedules with openness and flexibility. From our beginning days in September 2008, our goal has been to meet the unique needs of each of our students and to contribute, to the best of our ability, to their growth and wellbeing.
ACAL programs are developed and delivered by an experienced and caring staff supported by an elected Board of Directors. Tuition fees are reasonable and arranged to cover operation costs only.
