Track & Field Day
On Thursday, August 27th, we hosted our annual Track & Field Day! 🏃♀️🏅 It was a fun-filled day of friendly competition, teamwork, laughter, and plenty of celebrating!
Our participants kicked off the day with a variety of six Track & Field activities: the relay race, cornhole, baseball, long jump, shot put, and egg-and-spoon race. Everyone had the opportunity to participate, try something new, and cheer each other on along the way.

We started the morning with cornhole, baseball, and the egg-and-spoon race, before taking a well-deserved break to enjoy some refreshments. Participants enjoyed chips, juice, water, Welch’s snacks, and Rice Krispies before getting back to the action!

After our break, it was time to head back outside for the long jump, shot put, and relay race. Our participants gave it their all, showing off their skills and, most importantly, having a great time together. 🏃♂️💨

After all that activity, everyone headed back inside for lunch and some time to relax in our Sensory Room, where participants had the opportunity to unwind and enjoy some meditation.
But the day wasn’t over yet! After lunch and some relaxation, we headed to the gym while staff worked behind the scenes to set up a special surprise. When participants returned, the gym had been transformed into a special Track & Field Award Ceremony! 🎉
Our Executive Director, Joanne, presented awards to each of our participants. Everyone left the ceremony with a ribbon and a medal, along with some wonderful memories from the day. 🥇🏅
To finish off our celebration, we enjoyed some more snacks, including Timbits, juice, and water, while celebrating the end of a fantastic Track & Field Day!
It was such a wonderful day filled with fun, participation, encouragement, and smiles. We are so proud of everyone who took part and helped make this year’s Track & Field Day such a success!
